A Liturgy of Intentionality

Let us consider intentionality.
To act with purpose.
To live in authenticity.
To move forward with conviction
So that our actions reflect
A love for others.

Though we are in different places
In our journeys of deconstruction,
We all tend to share in a moment
When organized religion
Was either something that we have abandoned,
Or something that abandoned us.

May we intentionally choose
To not continue in the patterns,
The habits,
The divisions
In which religion tends to rely.

Rather, may we be intent
In finding new methods
New relationships,
Broadened viewpoints
In which to discover.

May we all, regardless of the depth of our deconstruction
Be intentional about embracing doubt,
About widening our viewpoints,
About celebrating a diverse community,
About finding freedom in mystery.

Let us be intent on choosing love over hate
Opening minds rather than closing hearts
Welcoming questions instead of demonizing doubt
Expanding horizons rather than developing division.

May peace become our commonality.
