A Liturgy of Sustaining

To They which were,
Which are
And which will be,

Teach us how to sustain;
To find our individual rhythm
Between work and rest;
Labor and sabbath;
Doing and being.

For most of us
The journey already has been long,
Filled with hills and valleys,
Triumphs and trials,
And the road keeps going.

Help us to find healthy pathways
For our physical, mental, and emotional health.
Provide us with daily bread
In all forms
That we might be well nourished.

Remind us that to maintain balance
We must first be centered.
So help guide us today toward that center
that in centering we might sustain.

Amen.
