To They which are with us
Even when no one else is,
There are moments in our lives
When it feels like we are alone.
In our process of deconstruction
We can often feel lonely,
Especially when others around us
Don’t know about our journey.
When the structures that
Once were a source of our stability,
Our identity,
Our community,
Are now the very systems we have left,
It can leave us isolated.
In these moments,
Help us to find new community;
Whether that be on
Social platforms,
Our neighborhood,
A house gathering,
Or in some random unexpected place,
Let us find open and welcoming communities.
And if we cannot find those,
Help us to be a catalyst for such a space.
Let us commune with individuals
Who share our desire for change
But also that push us to stretch.
Bring diverse voices to share their stories,
Their faith.
Their wisdom.
So that we may all find community.
Amen.
