God,
Who taught us that there is a season for all things,

In this time where many of us
have departed,
Have disavowed,
Have declined the structures of evangelicalism and fundamentalism,

We still feel the loss,
The loss of community that church brings.
The loss of assurance in doctrines that once were formative to our faith.
The loss of friendships and even family.

Some of these losses are healthy.
Some of these losses are heartbreaking.

Remind us that there is a time to embrace and
A time to turn away;
A time to keep and a time to discard.

Help us release the things that are unhealthy,
Traumatic.
Devisive.
Help us embrace the things that are restorative,
Healing.
Welcoming.

God,
Show us where to let go
Jesus,
Show us how to let go
Spirit,
Show us when to let go
