God,
That hears our cries,
That listens to our hearts,
That speaks in a still, small voice,

We thank you for conversations;
For opportunities to share,
To listen,
To partake in open dialogue.

Thank you for discussions
Bourne out of common questions;
Doubts and disappointments

Thank you for encouraging words
Spoken over us and to us
By individuals who have also traveled this path.

For those who we disagree with;
Those who ridicule and belittle us,
Show us how to speak in your love;
In your voice,
So that we can see your truths revealed.

God,
Teach us how to listen.
Jesus,
Help us speak love in words and actions.
Spirit,
Show us when to speak softly and when to speak out.
