They who know exactly where we are
And exactly where we are going
Even when we don’t.

There are times when we feel lost.
Lost in the knowing and the not knowing.
Lost in the questions that seem to have no answers.
Lost in a sea of doctrine and structure.

It is sometimes easy to feel like there is no right or wrong way.
Like we are entering into uncharted territory,

That can be both exciting and scary.
We get excited in the discovery of undiscovered truths,
But also scared when those truths don’t line up with what we expect,
What we’ve been taught.
What we’ve held as foundational.

When we are wandering aimlessly, God,
Point us in directions that move us toward you;
Toward a sanctuary that is welcoming
To us, to all.

God, guide us in our journey.
Jesus, walk with us as we seek.
Spirit, be our guide and compass.
