To They who are greater
Than our minds and hearts can imagine,

We come today to ask
That you help us to Expand and Extend.

Help us Expand our understanding
Of what you are,
Of who you welcome,
Of where you are leading.

Expand our community,
Open these doors to those
Who are deconstructing from more than our own faith upbringing
Who are deconstructing from different backgrounds,
Different siblings from
Different gender and racial identities.

Help us to extend open arms
To listen,
To learn,
To lift up,
To advance.

God, we don’t want to begin looking like
The very structures that we have fled from,
That we have been traumatized by,
That we watched close doors and put up barriers.

God, expand our community and our understanding.
Jesus, extend our reach to welcome.
Spirit, increase the diversity of our deconstruction.
