God,

Who knows where we are,
Where we’ve been,
And where we are headed.

Today, we confess.
We come to terms.
We recognize that we were once
Part of the problem.
Part of the pain.
Part of the system.

While we now stand against
The fear-based faith,
The false doctrines,
The sexism and mysoginy,
The racism and homophobia,
The condemnation and divisiveness,

We recognize that we once played a part
In supporting those very things,
Through our action,
Through our inaction,
Through our tithes and offerings.

God,
Help us to reflect and be authentic
In recognizing our role.

Jesus,
Show us how to repent to those
We have traumatized through our religious practices.

Spirit,
Lead us in our deconstruction to
Dismantle our own mistakes.
